Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio
The Archdiocese entrusted with her mission by the Holy Father, gratefully acknowledges the good work fostered by CatholicMil and looks forward to being able to continue to benefit from its collaborative efforts. The task of fortifying and consolidating an authentic Catholic presence among the military is really the responsibility of the whole Church. However, it cannot be realized without many structures to analyze and assure the growth of that Catholic presence. I pray that the Lord will bless and strengthen all of those directly involved with CatholicMil and those who support with their assistance the good programs generated by the same organization. Under the leadership of Judy McCloskey, CatholicMil.org continues to carry out a myriad of supportive programs for our men and women in uniform and their families all over the world. Fully committed to the Church and her teachings, CatholicMil.org offers a wealth of online information seeking to enable the Catholics in our Armed Forces to carry out their duties honorably, and truly contribute to the maintenance of peace (CCC ¶2310). CatholicMil.org is a most valuable resource in our mission to evangelize our Nation’s peacemakers and I strongly encourage the support of its mission.

Lt Col Timothy Parker (Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion 10th Marines in Iraq, from Feb06 to Aug 07): Catholic-Americans have a proud heritage of service to God and this great nation. Military service is rightly termed a vocation, which permits us to contribute our own sweat and blood in ensuring a continuation of all the freedoms we are afforded as God-given rights. CatholicMil recognizes the commitment and sacrifices that all military members and their families endure to maintain these freedoms and provides a forum in which to meet. CatholicMil specifically speaks to the concerns and sacrifices of Catholic military members. The ability to share sacrifices and draw inspiration from others’ experiences is invaluable.

Fr. Andrew Apostoli: I am honored to join so many others in thanking God and thanking Judy L. McCloskey for the CatholicMil.Org website. I have seen, in a practical way, the tremendous impact it is making on the lives of our men and women in the Armed Forces. It has been a channel of blessing for the religious and spiritual needs of our military personnel. Chaplains, especially those in harm’s way, have been particularly grateful for help received through CatholicMil.org. I know from my own work with the Archbishop Fulton John Sheen Foundation, trying to provide an inspiring military prayer book to our soldiers for  reflection, that CatholicMil.Org instructs so many in the truths of their Catholic Faith. It likewise provides the inspiration needed to give our military personnel the courage and trust in God they need under the difficult circumstances of war.

Jeff Cavins: While many of our men and women go off to war, we are still one with them by virtue of our Baptism. We can support and love our troops by working with ministries like CatholicMil. By reaching out to our troops we can have an eternal impact on their lives and hopefully make the world a better place.

Andrew Cochran: This outstanding organization is a gift from God for our fellow Catholics who are battling terrorists throughout the world and defending our freedoms.  I heartily endorse CatholicMil.Org and hope that all Americans will join me in supporting its outreach activities

John M. Haas, Ph. D., S.T.L.: May God continue to bless the spiritual and pastoral work which CatholicMil provides for our service personnel. Father C. J. McCloskey: Catholic soldiers, sailors and airmen make up a disporportionate amount of our fighting forces at home and overseas. We, their mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, spouses and friends are called to support them in the knowledge and practice of their Catholic Faith. CatholicMil, an independent initiative, cooperates with the Catholic heirarch in the US and is vital help to meet this challenge. Support it!
