With Communion time approaching at the special Mass on Sunday afternoon, Frank Cona and Nancy McNulty left their respective seats in the front pews and lined up with a few others in the back of Charlotte's Cathedral of St. Patrick. Then, holding wine, water and bread, they marched down the center aisle to the altar.

On Saturday August 7th, 2010, CatholicMil is hosting its first day long conference with speakers Fr. Michael Duesterhaus, a US Navy reserve chaplain of the diocese of Arlington, and CatholicMil Founder Judy L. McCloskey. 
The conference will be held at the Globe and Laurel located at 3987 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Stafford, VA, a restaurant  owned by former Marine Major Richard Spooner.

A change of the stole ceremony is a sacred tradition and unique ceremony, the 1st Cavalry Division's commander said last week at Fort Hood.  Change of command ceremonies are common in the Army, and Maj. Gen. Daniel Allyn said a change of stole was far more important than a change of command because it marked the passing of responsibility for the spiritual sustenance of the division's soldiers and families.

LETNICA/LETNICE, Kosovo - A Roman Catholic chaplain from Multinational Battle Group East led a Mass at the renowned Shrine of the Black Madonna, June 12, for United States KFOR Soldiers.
     Capt. Timothy Meier, chaplain, Los Altos, Calif., said that while KFOR chaplains have joined local priests in celebrating Mass at area churches before, this mass was unique because it was held in English specifically for U.S. KFOR troops.
